Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving how your website appears in Google and other search engines, so the right people can find you without you having to pay for every click.

We optimise websites for SEO and make recommendations on your content and keywords as part of building your site too. Whether you're starting from scratch or improving an existing site, we weave SEO into the process rather than treating it as an afterthought.

It's not a magic fix and it doesn't happen overnight. But done properly, it's one of the most cost-effective ways to grow consistent traffic to your site over time.

What we cover

We offer a full SEO audit as the starting point for all SEO work. Before recommending anything, we need to understand what's actually happening on your site. The audit covers eight areas:

Technical SEO. We check your site's security headers, caching setup, crawlability, sitemap, and how Google is reading your site structure. Issues here can silently hold rankings back. This often overlaps with a full Website Audit and reliable hosting.

On-page SEO. Title tags, meta descriptions, H1 tags, and canonical tags across every page. We crawl the full site using LibreCrawl and cross-check against Google Search Console data.

Performance and Core Web Vitals. Google measures real-world speed and stability on desktop and mobile. We check your LCP (page load speed), CLS (layout shift), and INP (interaction speed) and flag what's failing. If you want a quick overview, see our website performance guide.

Broken links and redirects. Broken pages waste Google's crawl budget and frustrate users. We identify all 404 errors and redirect issues and fix them as part of your audit and recommendations.

Google Search Console keywords. We analyse which search terms your site is showing up for, how many clicks you're getting, and where you're losing traffic to competitors with better titles and descriptions.

Google Analytics 4 traffic. We look at your real traffic data, which channels are working, which aren't, and where the gaps are. For ecommerce sites, we also check whether purchase tracking is set up correctly so you can see which traffic actually drives orders. This pairs well with ecommerce development so you can measure the impact properly.

Local SEO. Google Business Profile setup and verification, NAP consistency across directories, and review strategy.

Structured data and schema. Product schema, Organisation schema, LocalBusiness schema, and any other markup that helps Google display your pages more prominently in search results.

What we fix during the audit

A lot of issues get resolved as part of the audit itself at no extra charge. Security headers, sitemap cleanup, noindex settings for thin auto-generated pages, redirect fixes, and caching configuration are all things we action as we go.

For WooCommerce and Shopify stores in particular, sites can end up with thousands of auto-generated URLs for product variations, colour and material tags, and attribute archives. Google has a crawl budget, meaning it only visits a set number of pages on your site per day. If it's wasting that budget on pages that will never rank, your real products and categories get crawled less often. Cleaning that up is one of the most impactful things we do for ecommerce SEO, alongside the right platform setup and performance-focused hosting.

What comes after the audit

Once the audit is complete, we provide a full written report covering every area above, with a clear priority action list and a fixed quote for Stage 2 implementation. You decide what you want to proceed with and when.

There are no lock-in contracts. We work on a project basis or an optional monthly reporting retainer if you'd like ongoing tracking of your Google Search Console and GA4 data each month.

One thing we want to be upfront about

We don't guarantee page 1 rankings and you should be cautious of any agency that does. SEO is influenced by hundreds of factors including your competitors, your content, your site's history, and how Google's algorithm weighs all of it. What we guarantee is honest, thorough work and clear reporting so you always know what we've done and why.
